PrimaDonna Productions' New Headquarters



PrimaDonna Productions is starting the new year in a new office! Located at 8603 Crownhill Blvd., the "El Cid" building provides a perfect new location, with a larger studio space for acting classes and workshops. Come visit and see what we can offer you!

Hot Meal/Cold Read

Held the third sunday of every month, PrimaDonna Production is proud to bring you "Hot Meal/Cold Read". This program gives local actors a chance improve their auditioning skills by learning from the pros.
The next class is on the topic of Indie Short Films, and will be taught by director Erik Bosse.

Cost: This monthly program is open to folks whether novice or professional and costs only $30 per person, however only 10 slots are available per month. Reservations are required and must be paid no later than one week in advance. Cancellations and no shows will be charged the full amount.

Show Biz: Lunch & Learn - March 20th

“Show Biz: Lunch & Learn”, is a lunchtime workshop for artists who wish to learn from the best.

It is held every Thursday, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at PrimaDonna Productions.

Bring your own lunch and sit down round-table style to learn tips, tools, and tactics to succeed in the arts and entertainment industry.

This week, the topic is "Internet Marketing - how to make the Web work for you!"

PrimaDonna Productions "Hits" the Film Festival Circuit

On Sunday, April 13th, San Antonio will be hosting the CineFesteval which is the longest running international film festival in North America. At this years' festival, Latin pop star Jade Esteban Estrada will be premiering an anticipated new documentary. Also, PrimaDonna Productions will be screening an encore showing of their hit short film, Operation Hitman.

The Mamapalooza Festival

The first annual Mamapalooza festival takes place this year, on mother's day weekend (May 10th). This festival gives mom's a chance to play, as "Moms Who Rock" takes the stage. Musical artists will be showcased throughout the day, including Ulterior Motive, The Lavens, Julie Good, and Laura Marie. Also, there will be plenty of facials and massages, not to mention a silent auction, and prizes from "Magic" 105.3.


The Festival will be held at the Blue Bubble Ballroom (9315 N. Broadway) from 10 AM to 7 PM

The Reel Deal With Jade Esteban Estrada


On May 24, PrimaDonna Productions will host Jade Esteban Estrada - actor, comedian, and Latin pop star - who will lead a workshop for actors, "The Reel Deal With Jade Esteban Estrada: Part 1", at the PrimaDonna Productions office (8603 Crownhill Blvd., Suite 30). This fun, but intensive workshop for ages 15 and over costs only $105 and includes the price of lunch!

The purpose of this meeting is to:

  • To Update attendees on the status of both the local and statewide motion picture industry.

  • To elect a regional alternate for Nikki Young, our regional representative. The alternate will serve at TXMPA board meetings when Nikki is unable to attend. The term in two years.

  • To nominate candidates, from our region, for the three open At-large positions will be voted on TXMPA's annual statewide meetings

The Priest Holmes Celebrity Weekend

Come and be a part of San Antonio's first annual Priest Holmes Celebrity weekend!

There will be a football "camp with the pros", benefit concerts from many recording artists, and a celebrity basketball game featuring Robert Horry.

All proceeds will benefit Shooting Stars Basketball Academy, St. Peter-St. Joseph Children's Home, and Bay Bay's Kids & All Sports Foundation.

A two-week program for actors ages 8-18.
During the program, students will participate in the production of a short film, and will experience all the stages
of filmmaking first-hand, including
writing, cinematography, editing, and screening the finished film.
